Mel Gibson was recently on holiday in Iceland with his two sons.He was spotted wearing a black Tindur Technical jacket while playing golf. Gibson is not the only celebrity that is a fan of our products. Dagný Linda Kristjánsdóttir, Iceland’s longtime top female alpine skiing champion, has decided to retire from training and competition. 150 people reaches the top of Snaefellsjökull with 66°North
Last Saturday, 150 participants from the programme “Reach The Top With 66°NORTH” climbed the Snaefellsjokull Glacier (1446 m/ 4740 feet). Snaefellsjokull was the first of three glaciers the group will climb, in preparations for climbing Hvannadalshnjukur, Iceland’s highest peak, at the beginning of summer.27.2.2008
Great response to the Hvannadalshnúkur tour
A meeting held to promote an upcoming climb of Hvannadalshnúkur, the highest peak of Vatnajökull Glacier, attracted many interested people. The meeting was organised by 66°NORTH and Icelandic Mountain Guides, who are behind the "Reach the Top with 66°NORTH." tour and training programme. If everything goes to plan, the group will climb Hvannadalshnúkur peak in two groups, the first group on May 31st and the second on June 7th.
