IT All Started in the Small Town of Sugandafjord
1926 66°NORTH was the brainchild of Hans Kristjansson, who began producing protective clothing for the fishermen of Sugandafjord.
Not all history lessons are boring. Case in point: The story of 66°NORTH, and how the once-modest fisherman's outfitter created what has become the most popular active wear company in all of Iceland. Hans Kristjansson founded the company with an eye for quality and performance. He was passionate about creating garments that would hold up to the harsh conditions fishermen faced while trolling the seas of Iceland.
