Richard Hammond wears the Vindur jacket

Richard HammondRichard Hammond, one of the presenter-trio of the world popular TV car show Top Gear in Britain, is certainly one who values the garments of 66°North. In the two first episodes of the new series of Top Gear he wore a jacket that is named Vindur, or wind in English, which is a wind tight woolen jacket with a fleece lining. It is clear that Icelanders monitor the show closely since the company has received many comments on Mr. Hammond’s choice of clothes, even if these particular episodes haven’t yet been shown on Icelandic television.

Mr. Hammond has been seen wearing clothes from 66°North before on the show. He got to know the brand when the Top Gear team was filming in Iceland a few years ago. Since then, the company has also receive inquiries from the producers of Top Gear regarding getting clothes for their filming crew and show presenters, when they are filming in cold areas – for instance when they went to the North Pole with a team of Icelanders on specially altered SUV’s.
