66°NORTH will provide two Danish explorers with clothing from top to toe on their attempt to set a world record in crossing the ice cap of Greenland without any support. The explorers will be wearing a Vatnajökull Jacket and bibs as a shell layer, a Vatnajökull Down Proof Jacket, a Vik Jacket and tights, a Básar Zip Neck and Pants, an Esja Jacket, and a Tindur Technical Vest.

The expedition begins in Kangerlussuaq (SønderStrømfjord) on the west coast of Greenland. From there, Per Jessen and Søren Hvalsø, both 26 years old, will walk/ski about 600 km to the small city of Isortoq. Commercial expeditions take 30 days to complete a similar trip. The pair will try to set an official world record by doing it in 15 days or less.
 
Aside from the achievement itself, they will focus on the importance of using sun block as protection against the dangerous rays from the sun while doing physical activity. Not many people know how dangerous and damaging the sun can be. That is why they have a partnership with the Danish Cancer Association.
