Tarantino and Eli Roth bundle up, Icelandic style

American movie directors Quentin Tarantino and Eli Roth came to Iceland on the 27th of December to celebrate the New Year. They must have read the bleak weather forecast for New Year's Eve, because one of the first things they did when they arrived, was to go to the 66°NORTH shop in Bankastraeti, downtown Reykjavik, and invest in some seriously warm and stylish outdoor clothes.
Tarantino and Roth know the brand well, and have been keen on praising the garments abroad. Roth wore 66°NORTH during the shooting of his horror movie Hostel 2, which was filmed in the Czechoslovakian capital of Prague where temperatures were very cold. Tarantino has shown up to a number of interviews wearing 66°NORTH. Most recently, he was pictured on the front page of the British paper, The Telegraph, wearing a cap emblazoned with the 66°NORTH logo.
Among the clothes that Tarantino and Roth bought yesterday were Stormur fleece jackets and thermal socks, and Roth also got some Víkur horse riding gear, as he is an Icelandic horse enthusiast.
