66°NORTH nominated for one of the world“s most prestigious outdoor wear design awards

Jan DavidssonA new jacket from 66°NORTH, Eldborg, was nominated in January in one of the most prestigious competitions held among manufacturers of outdoor wear. The ISPO Award is held in connection with the ISPO show in Munich, Germany - the largest of its kind in the outdoor and sportswear industry. Eldborg was nominated in the “Outdoor Style” category. Just to be nominated in a competition like this is an honour: hundreds of manufacturers submit their designs and only a few are nominated in each category. It´s worth noting that this is the second year in a row that 66°NORTH has been up for an ISPO Award: the Snæfell jacket was nominated for, and won, the ISPO Award in 2011, as well as winning the Scandinavian Outdoor Award later that year. Both jackets were designed by 66°NORTH’s Chief Designer, Jan Davidsson. Jan has worked as a designer at 66°NORTH on and off since 1990.

Eldborg JacketEldborg is a jacket that meets all the needs of the outdoor life. It´s made from high-quality Polartec®, a material that guarantees warmth and wind-proofing, as well as being highly breathable and water repellent. The jacket is designed to suit a range of outdoor activities, from skiing to mountaineering. Eldborg’s look sets it apart from other jackets, as well. Stylish and classically tailored, it is also designed for daily city life. In our opinion, Eldborg is the perfect marriage between outdoor recreational wear and high street fashion and is ideally suited to the ever-changing weather condition.
