Newspapers review the trip to Hvannadalshnúkur

On the programme Reach the Top with 66°North and Icelandic Mountainguides there were 19 foreign journalist that traveled up Hvannadalshnukur. The experience for them in this good weather was amazing, here are few testimonials from them:

„When you're hiking through the clouds, on top of a giant glacier, near the top of the world, in the company of clear blue skies and your friends, all you can think is one thing:   Life doesn't get more alive than this"

„I can't think of a better way to celebrate the passion Icelanders have for the stunning beauty of their island than by climbing to the top of it with 150 of them. I'm captivated by this island and its people and can't wait to visit again."

„When I first heard the round-trip climb up Hvannadalshnukur was 12 to 16 hours my initial thought was Icelanders must be either very slow hikers or very good sufferers. Turns out, thanks to the 66°North program (and good genes), they are neither. And I, unfortunately, am both."

„Climbing Hvannadalshnukur is an apt metaphor for all of Iceland-fire within, ice on top, and all the while, the sense of a living, breathing entity underfoot."

„Hey everyone, definitely a trip for the record books. It was an absolute blast touring the county with all of you. The Rockies now just look small in comparison to Hvannadalshnukur. Huge thanks to 66°NORTH for making it all happen. Hope to see you all again on a future trip!"
