New cutting edge jacket from 66°North
66°NORTH recently added the Vatnajokull PrimaLoft® jacket to its line. The jacket is both a cutting edge garment and very original in its design. 66°NORTH is the first Icelandic clothing manufacturer to use PrimaLoft® insulation in outdoor wear. PrimaLoft® is a microfiber insulation that was developed for the US military as an alternative to down filling, since the down loses its insulating abilities if it gets wet.
PrimaLoft® provides a high quality insulation against low temperatures while being very soft, lightweight and having good respiration abilities. In addition to that, the PrimaLoft® insulation is water repellant which means that the body remains dry and warm, even in the most difficult conditions.
The Vatnjokull PrimaLoft® jacket from 66°NORTH is cut in such a way that it can be worn under the shell, which suits Icelandic conditions that can be very cold and wet at the same time. The new jacket has been fantastically well received, and it is clear that it is a perfect addition to the very broad line of outdoor clothes of 66°NORTH.
