Advancing in Denmark and Greenland
The invasion continues: Two new shops and a contract with the Danish Army
66°NORTH will open a new 300 square meters (3300 square feet) store in Nørreport, Copenhagen, in the coming fall. It will also open a shop inside the Magasin du Nord department store in Århus, Jutland. This is only part of the advance of 66°NORTH in Denmark. Recently, the company signed a sales contract with the Danish Army for outdoor clothes. The contract is with the Sirius division, which defends the northernmost regions of Greenland. This part of Greenland is mostly uninhabited wilderness which is very hard to traverse, so the soldiers use dog sleds among other methods of travel. Obviously, the temperature goes down to extreme cold that high north, and it is critical that the soldier's clothing stands up to the challenge. The outdoor clothes from 66°NORTH will be a vital tool for them as they are designed for the toughest conditions on the planet.
